ANSE L'ISLETTE

ANSE L'ISLETTE

Beach in the west of Mahé

Interesting facts about the ANSE L'ISLETTE:

The Anse L'Islette or Port Launay South is located in the northwest of Mahé.

Anse L'Islette is located opposite the islet of the same name and is one of the two main beaches of the Constance Ephélia Resort - a nice bay with island view and so shallow water that you can walk to the island. Although the beach, which is best reached via the hotel grounds, is very attractive, swimmers prefer Port Launay or Baie Ternaybecause the water is deeper there and you can snorkel there very well.

It is a long white sandy beach with relatively shallow and calm water. Among other things it is a perfect place for families with children.
Here, one has a magnificent view, on one side mountain panorama on the other side turquoise sea and the 2 offshore islands L'Islette (at extreme low tide one can even walk there) and behind it Therese.
The beach belongs to the Ephelia Hotel but is public like all beaches in the Seychelles.
The Sauzier waterfall is about 15 minutes walk from the beach. For this you cross the main road at the "St. Peter and Paul- Church" and follow the smaller tarred road for about 5 minutes (keep left).
Entrance fee Monday-Saturday is 25 Scr per person.

Directions:

Starting from Victoria, either take the rather curvy Sans Soucis Road (on the way you can make a short stop at the viewpoint "Mission Lodge") to Port Glaud and turn right there.
Or via Bois de Rose Avenue in Roche Caiman turn right at the roundabout (Victoria South Petrol Station) and take La Misere Road to Grand Anse. Turn right at the petrol station and follow the coastal road.
Shortly after the restaurant "Del Place" there are enough parking possibilities.
Bus: all lines with terminus Port Launay. Get off after "Del Place Restaurant".
