Beautiful long light sandy beach in the south-west of Mahé.
Takamaka trees provide sufficient shade. There are occasional stones/coral in the water and higher waves can occur. On weekends you often see locals with surfboards
The History nach, legte an dieser Bucht, Lazare Picault, Kapitän der Schiffe – Elisabeth und Charles, 1742 zum ersten mal auf den Seychellen an und wird daher als Entdecker der Seychellen angesehen. Die Bucht sowie der Strand und der Bezirk wurde nach seinem Namen benannt.

Directions:
Start in Victoria via Bois de Rose Avenue heading south. At Roche Caiman, take the third exit at the roundabout (Victoria South Petrol Station) and cross the island via La Misere Road. When you reach Grand Anse, turn left at the petrol station. From here it is a short 25-minute drive south along the coastal road.
Alternative route: Along the east coast to the village of Anse Royal. Turn right at the church and cross the island via Les Canelles Road. When you arrive at Anse la Mouche turn left. From here it is about 10 minutes.
Travel time for both routes is about 45 minutes each.
Parking spaces are sufficiently available between the beach and the road
