BEAU VALLON BEACH

BEAU VALLON BEACH

Beach in the northwest of Mahé

Interesting facts about the BEAU VALLON BEACH:

This beach is the most popular hotel beach of Mahé, both for visitors and locals. The wide bay with white sand and clear water on the north-west coast of Mahé is very safe for swimmers and bathers. The numerous hotels that line up behind the beach and the diving and water sports centres that are located here make this part of the coast ideal for those who want to do more than just sunbathing during their holidays. Beau Vallon Beach is also very safe for children as there are no strong currents, no rocks or corals and lifeguards are on duty to watch over the beach. During the southeast trade wind, the sea is extremely calm and the beach is ideal.

The Beau Vallon Beach is located at the northwest of the island of Mahé. Here is the highest density of hotels, therefore this beach is one of the fuller beaches of the Seychelles.
There are many souvenir and fruit stands on the promenade.
On Wednesdays there is "Bazar Labrin", a small market with different stalls selling pareos, soap & various souvenirs. There are also several takeaway stands selling grilled fish, shrimp skewers, noodles, chicken curry and much more.

There is a small "open air gym" which you can use for free.

At and around the Beau Vallon Beach many restaurants, supermarkets, diving schools, water sport organizers (e.g. jet ski, canoe, banana boat) etc. have settled down.

From the beach you have a view of the islands North and Silhouette, and a great sunset.
The Beau Vallon Beach is very popular with holiday makers as well as with locals (especially on weekends). The water gets deeper all the time.
Rocks can be found mainly at the two ends of the beach.

The tall Takamaka trees provide plenty of shade.
