Things to know about the KOT MAN-YA EXOTIC FLOWER GARDEN:

Kot-Man Ya, das in 8 Jahren von Grund auf geschaffen und am 31. August 2008 eröffnet wurde, ist Teil eines Versuchsprojekts der Anse Royale Öko-Tourismus Versuchs Initiative, verwaltet von The Ecotourism Society of Seychelles (TESS), die von dem SETS 21 dem Seychellen Öko-Tourismus Plan für das 21. Jahrhundert vorgeschrieben wurde.

It is one of the first steps in truly bringing tourism activities to the communities and offers a unique and different experience of Seychelles, both for discerning nature lovers and the local flower enthusiast.

With their ravishing elegance, brilliant colours, bold geometric lines and symmetrical perfection, Tropicals flowers provide absolute floral brilliance.

'Tropicals' is an 'in' word worldwide at the moment. These include Heliconia, Ginger, Anthuriums and others like Mussa Bananas, Costus, Calatheas and fantastic jungle foliage like Caladiums and Ti leaves. Originating in the South Central American rainforest, Southeast Asia and the South Pacific Islands, Tropicals now set the scene for celebrations, expressing love, saying thank you or I'm sorry. But most of all, they are simply there to lift your spirits in their natural state. Young or old, everyone will find her or his special joy at Kot Man-Ya, in peace and tranquility, in a native community setting.

In addition to more than 200 species of tropicals and orchids, Kot Man-Ya is also home to giant tortoises, guinea pigs, rabbits, green geckos, smooth lizards and frogs. Other attractions include birds such as the Seychelles nectar bird, sparrow dove, cardinal and other migratory bird species. Fruit trees and medicinal plants such as papaya, breadfruit, passion fruit, star fruit, sweet potatoes, bilimbi, curry leaves. Lemongrass is also in abundance.
