WEDNESDAY
You leave Mahé behind and set off towards Praslin, the second largest island of the Seychelles. 26 nautical miles lie between Mahé and Praslin, with the twin islands Cousin and Cousin in between. Praslin was once known as the "Ile des Palmes" (Palm Island) because of its dense palm groves and lush vegetation. Praslin is home to two UNESCO World Heritage Site, the fabulous Vallée de Mai, where the wondrous Coco-de-Mer grows on ancient palm trees in a primeval forest. Some of Praslin's breathtaking beaches such as Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette and Côte d'Or are regularly ranked among the most beautiful in the world. From here the surrounding islands of Aride, Curieuse, The Sisters, Maryanne, Félicité and Cocos are within easy reach.
THURSDAY
It won't take long before the neighbouring island of La Digue captivates you. They say that time has stood still here, where oxcarts and bicycles are still the main means of transport. Here is one of the most famous and probably most photographed beaches in the world - Anse Source d'Argent. Nearby is a cemetery of the first settlers, a kiln for coconut refinement, a giant turtle enclosure and a typical Creole villa.
FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY
You leave the realm of the granite islands and sail further and further north until the glittering world of Bird and Denis Island opens up before you about 52mi north of Mahé. Experience the overwhelming sight of huge seabird colonies, nesting turtles and the foaming surf on brilliant white sandy beaches. The islands are located on the edge of the Seychelles Bank, where the ocean floor drops steeply by 2000m. Here, in these waters where few have been before you, swimming, snorkelling and fishing are unlike any other experience.
