Sainte Anne (Ste. Anne)

Things to know about Sainte Anne (Ste. Anne):

Off the coast of Mahé (near Victoria) lies the Sainte Anne Marine National Park with a group of small islands. Hotels have been built on four of them - especially in recent years.

Ste. Anne is the largest island in the Marine National Park of the same name. It is located 4 km off the east coast of Mahé and in close proximity to the neighbouring islands of Cerf, Round and Moyenne.

In addition to the countless coconut palms, which also include 3 Coco-de-Mer palms, lush wild cinnamon plants grow on the slopes, as well as casuarina trees and related species. But also trees and shrubs from the neighbouring islands can be found here.

In 2002 the 5 star Beachcomber was opened on Ste. Anne. Sainte Anne Resort opened. The top hotel has 87 villas and offers the highest standard.

The luxury hotel of the Beachcomber group also offers four restaurants. These are located in the south of the island and have easy access to the two main beaches, which are over a kilometre long and so secluded that they are even visited by the shy sea turtles to lay their eggs.
