Accreditation of the new Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Seychelles

"On behalf of the people and Government of Seychelles, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you personally to the Seychelles. We are determined to consolidate our friendship with Russia. We believe that there is great scope for growth on a variety of levels. We are confident that your appointment will enable further progress to be made in areas of mutual concern and that opportunities can be seized," said President Faure.

For his part, Ambassador Kozhin reiterated his commitment to strengthening relations between Seychelles and the Russian Federation both bilaterally and globally. Topics of discussion included areas such as investment and trade, tourism, education and specialised training, health as well as others.

The accreditation was also attended by the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs and Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure, the Chief Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Marina Confait, and officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
