In this tropical Paradise the temperature rarely falls below 24° C and rarely rises above 32° C Except for the most remote islands in the south, the Seychelles lie outside the cyclone belt, making it a year-round destination for sun-seekers and beach lovers.
During the northwestern monsoon winds between October and March, the sea is usually calm and the weather warm and humid. The average wind force is 8 to 12 knots.
In January and February the islands receive their life-giving rain, causing streams and rivers to swell and plants and Flowers blossom in a wonderful blaze of colour. The months between May and September bring drier, cooler weather and rougher seas with winds of 10-20 knots, especially on the south-eastern coast.
