BUS TRAVEL IN THE SEYCHELLES

Bus travel is eventful in the Seychelles

Things to know about driving a bus on the Seychelles:

Well-developed network of bus routes

The main means of public transport on Mahé and Praslin is the bus.

Seychelles Public Transport Corporation (SPTC) is a parastatal organisation established in 1977 to provide public transport on Mahé and Praslin. SPTC offers a well-developed network of a total of 41 routes, 1100 trips daily and a good timetable. The unit fare per journey is SCR 12 on both Mahé and Praslin. An air-conditioned bus service offers the commuter the luxury of a more comfortable ride, at a slightly higher fare of 15 SCR.

By Bus around the Islands of Mahé & Praslin

It is possible and worthwhile to discover the islands by bus on Mahé or Praslin. A journey costs 12 rupees per person, which is less than €1 each way. There are many stops where you can get off, explore the surroundings, visit the beach or a restaurant and then get back on the bus to the next stop or the starting point.
