Chateau St. Cloud

The enchanting Chateau St Cloud is located on one of the most beautiful islands in the Seychellesin the midst of the tropical splendour of La Digue".
The Chateau St Cloud is ideally located in the centre of La Digue, at the foot of the only mountain on the island. Island10 minutes from the beach, or (a few minutes by bike) to the famous beach "Anse Source D'Argent".
The grace and charm of the castle is complemented by the surrounding landscape, where exotic flowers, fruit and tropical plants envelop this colonial property in rustic tranquillity.
It was built at the height of the Napoleonic Empire and named after the small French town of St. Cloud, which lies south of Paris. Visitors to the chateau have a marvellous view of the local granite formations, which twist and meander in bizarre patterns. On the estate, guests can also visit one of the few Coco de Mer trees that still exist on the island. Island and if you're in the mood for some leisurely exercise, you can visit the giant tortoises that have lived on the estate for generations and are now considered part of the St Ange family. The Chateau was once part of a vanilla farm and has recently been converted into a small, charming hotel by the owners, the "Saint Ange family".

For people looking for peace and tranquillity, a place where only the whisper of palm leaves in the sea breeze and the sound of gently falling coconuts create an atmosphere that says nothing other than "WELCOME".
For the more adventurous, you can take an oxcart or bike ride between the castle and the beaches or visit the main village of La Passe.
