Villa Gazebo
Villa Gazebo, a holiday home / flat in Takamaka, in the south of Mahé
Victoria from Copolia Trail, Seychelles
You couldn't ask for more greenery than this, as Villa Gazebo is set in the middle of a huge, lush garden. Enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in the morning with a view of the palm canopy of the Indian Ocean. Now you are spoilt for choice whether to take a dip in the infinity pool with its breathtaking views or pay a visit to the nearby beach. Just a ten-minute walk away, Anse Intendance offers powder-fine white sand and turquoise sea. This picturesque setting is surrounded by granite rocks and cliffs, giving Anse Intendance its well-deserved reputation as one of the most beautiful beaches in the Seychelles where you can swim, snorkel and even surf. If you prefer something quieter and more romantic, enjoy Anse Intendance at sunset. Before it gets dark, make your way back to the villa to buy some ingredients for your dinner. Luckily, there are shops and restaurants within walking distance!
When you have done your shopping, head back to the villa. The outdoor barbecue area or the spacious, fully equipped kitchen are at your disposal to prepare a delicious meal with exotic ingredients. Enjoy your creation at the large kitchen table, on the comfortable sofa or under the open sky on the terrace. Afterwards, the bright living room with its sandy, warm brown tones that reflect the natural colours of the surroundings invites you to relax and creates a truly cosy atmosphere. The spacious bedrooms also offer the ideal place for a restful night's sleep or even a nap during the day. Natural materials such as wood and wicker bring you the flora of the Seychelles a little closer. Large double beds let you drift off to sleep, while the en-suite bathrooms round off the modern facilities with a large mirror and plenty of natural light.
Impressive beaches and rolling, lush countryside combine on Mahé like on no other Island of the Seychelles. Besides beach visits, adventurous hikes through the unique landscape should be on the programme. If you feel more at home in cities, you will also find a lot to do on the biggest Island of the Seychelles, because this is also where the capital of the archipelago, Victoria, is located. From Villa Gazebo, you can reach the capital in about an hour's drive along the island's east coast. There is also a lot to see on the way there. Victoria has a wonderful market and quaint shops and restaurants to while away the time. There are also botanical gardens, museums, a harbour and the Clock Tower, the most famous landmark in the Seychelles. All in all, there is much to see and do in Victoria.
