PETITE ANSE / ANSE LA LIBERTE

PETITE ANSE, also ANSE LA LIBERTE

Worth knowing about the PETITE ANSE (OR ANSE LA LIBERTE):

Beach in the south-west of Mahé

The stunning Petite Anse, also known as Anse La Liberte, is located near the Anse Soleil, is smaller than its more popular neighbour and difficult to reach, but definitely worth the effort, offering peaceful swimming and sunbathing against a spectacular backdrop of granite rocks and green forest. The powder-soft sands and turquoise waters of this cove will simply make your Language devious.
A second option is to ask at the entrance of the Four Seasons Hotel to get to the beach, as the beach is part of the hotel.

Directions to Petite Anse:

The bay is located in the southwest of Mahé. Turn at the international Airport turn left and follow the main road south past the Anse Royale petrol station and Hotel Lazare Picault (on your right) to the Baie Lazare police station. At the next opportunity, turn left onto Anse Soleil Road and continue on this road for about 800 metres until you reach the Anse Soleil Café signpost. Turn right onto this path and continue for 50 metres where you will find a place to park your car on your left. Then walk downhill on the footpath for about 20 minutes to the beach. In total you will be walking for about an hour.
