In this perspective, President Faure and Ambassador Sarott discussed the sectors that could contribute to the development of these relations, particularly in the areas of tourism, education, health, research, economic development and nature conservation.
At the press briefing after the meeting with the President of Seychelles, Mr Sarott added that during his term in office he would try to strengthen cooperation in the above-mentioned areas, but also in the field of culture.
It should be noted that Seychelles and the Swiss Confederation established diplomatic relations on 9 March 1981 and Ambassador Sarott is based in Antananarivo, Madagascar.
The accreditation ceremony was attended by the State Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Blue Economy, Ambassador Barry Faure, the Secretary General of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Dr Marina Confait, and senior officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs.
