The natural history Seychelles Natural History Museum, not to be confused with the National History Museum the Seychelles, not only displays exhibitions on the flora, fauna and geological history of the islands, but also seeks to educate visitors about environmental issues and instil a positive attitude towards conservation.
Seven well-known aspects of Seychelles' natural heritage are displayed through exhibits and dioramas. The museum's documentation centre houses a wealth of diverse research materials.
The museum is located in the immediate vicinity of the Clocktower and almost right next to the post office.
Parking is available at the "Stadium Car Park" for this from the Clocktower into Francis Rachel Street (this becomes a one-way street from the car park).
From the parking lot, walk back to the Clocktower, and turn right onto Independence Avenue. The museum is across the street.
From the bus station, turn right west onto Palm Street. Turn left at the intersection onto Albert Street and left at the Clocktower onto Independence Avenue. The museum is located shortly after the post office on the left side of the street.
