The La Veuve Reserve Information Centre is the only environmental office on La Digue . The office looks after the La Veuve reserve and the environmental concerns of La Digue . There you can get a lot of information about the unique flora and fauna of La Digue and especially about the Paradise Flycatcher or 'Veuve'. From there, the populations of the Paradise Flycatcher , the rare Swiflets, the sea turtles and once a year the common bird species are regularly checked.
You will be invited by the staff for a short guided tour to see breeding sites and birds, or for walks outside the reserve. Advance booking is requested.
In the future, souvenirs, postcards and books will also be available for purchase at the reserve.
