Things to know about the island of Aride:

Aride is located 16 km from Praslin and is the northernmost of the granite islands of the Seychelles. The 70-hectare island is home not only to the largest seabird colony in the world, but also to the densest lizard population and a unique Floraincluding one of the rarest plants in the world, the Wright's gardenia, also called the "lemon tree". Red-tailed Tropicbirds and Roseate Terns nest exclusively on this island. The island can only be visited on certain days, depending on the weather, most likely between October and April.
