SILHOUETTE

SILHOUETTE

interesting facts about Silhouette:

Silhouette, the third largest Island of the Seychelles, is a 20 km² large, densely forested granite island with five mountains visible from afar, the highest of which Mont Daubanis 740 meters high. It is surrounded by coral reefs and is not only an important breeding ground for birds, but also a refuge for a number of highly endangered species. 93% is therefore a protected area.

The remaining 7% of the land area are reserved for the small settlement of about 140 islanders, who have been living here for a long time, and the luxury hotel Hilton Seychelles Labriz Resort & Spa with 116 guest rooms. The island has no runway for airplanes. The crossing by boat takes about 45 minutes. A helicopter transfer is also possible.
