ANSE UNION

ANSE UNION

Beach in the west of La Digue

Worth knowing about ANSE UNION:

The beach Anse Union belongs to L'Union Estate, a plantation open to the public. On its coast are the secluded L'Union Estate chalets, where celebrities such as former British Prime Minister Tony Blair have spent their holidays. The small boatyard, where a very traditional craft for La Digue was carried out, has unfortunately been closed in the meantime. The sea here is ideal for swimming and snorkeling.

Almost directly on the beach the Old Pier Cafe is open, next to it is a small viewing platform from which you can take a perfect photo of the silhouette of the most famous beach of the Seychelles. Anse Source d'Argent can shoot.

Directions:

From the port, take the bicycle and follow the coastal road to the right in a southerly direction.
Pass Gregoire's pizzeria and STC supermarket, turn right at the crossroads and follow the road until you reach L'Union Estate Park.
The beach begins behind the cashier's office of the L'Union Estate Parks.
(Park entrance fee is 115 SCR per person).

At low tide you can walk around the heliport, but then you are only allowed to enter the beach - not the park. This is checked randomly.
At high tide the water is too high!
